One have to keep the original of Driving License, Tax token(whether separate or endorsed in R.C),R.C and PUC certificate while driving a private vehicle.
Other documents like Insurance certificate need not be carried in original. A true copy attested by a gazetted officer is sufficient. Or you have the option of sending it as registered post to the demanding officer within 7 days.
